The Information Structuralist

About me

I am Maxim Raginsky, an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Coordinated Science Laboratory at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). I am interested in decision-making (both automated and human), statistical learning and inference, and control. I am also interested in the numerous links between information theory and physics, which is not surprising, considering the fact that my doctoral work was on quantum information theory. The chief purpose of this blog is to share my (almost always) misguided thoughts and musings on these subjects, thus (hopefully) becoming more enlightened in the process. Or not.
